Build your Exercise Physiologist career in our Mount Isa clinic. Join a supportive multidisciplinary allied health team delivering high-quality care across Mount Isa and surrounding communities. You’ll work with a diverse clinical caseload, providing evidence-based exercise interventions that support improved health outcomes, function, and independence while building meaningful relationships with clients and the wider community.

We’re flexible on what this role looks like for the right candidate, with full-time or part-time options available on a fixed-term basis. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with allied health professionals, families, and community stakeholders while making a meaningful difference through person-centred care across rural and remote Queensland. Regular outreach travel to surrounding communities is required, with travel completed during work hours where possible. A work vehicle is provided, and any required after-hours travel is supported through time in lieu.

Benefits

  • Salary from $82,858 to $105,893 + super (Pro-rata for part-time) based on experience
  • Salary sacrificing options up to $15,900 to help maximise your take home pay;
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus leave loading of 17.5%;
  • $180 per fortnight Rental Subsidy (Mount Isa and Longreach only);
  • Initial staff accommodation available (Mount Isa and Longreach only);
  • Up to $3k relocation assistance for Mount Isa plus possible additional payment of up to $3k from Health Workforce Queensland for candidates who relocate and meet the criteria
  • Annual Flight Home upon 12 months of service (If based in Mount Isa or Longreach);
  • Continuous Professional Development: Up to 10 days of paid professional development leave each financial year, supporting learning aligned with your role and career development.
  • Paid Parental Leave (8 weeks) and Paid Partner Leave (3 weeks);

About the role

  • Assess client needs, physical function, and movement to develop tailored exercise programs
  • Deliver evidence-based exercise programs to manage chronic conditions, injury, and complex health needs
  • Support rehabilitation after injury, surgery, or illness to restore function and wellbeing
  • Educate and empower clients to improve health and maintain an active lifestyle
  • Collaborate with health teams and provide outreach services to improve access to care

Skills & experience

  • Current ESSA registration (or eligibility to obtain) 
  • Bachelor of Exercise Physiologist or equivalent qualification
  • Current unrestricted “C” class Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Full Australian working rights
