About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist with NWRH, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred services across a diverse client base, supporting individuals to improve their independence, wellbeing, and participation in everyday life.

Working within a supportive allied health team, you'll have the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills while making a meaningful difference in the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering Occupational Therapy services to children, adults, and older people
  • Conducting functional, cognitive, developmental, and environmental assessments
  • Supporting participation in home, school, work, and community settings
  • Recommending assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and home modifications
  • Providing education and support to clients, families, carers, and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers
  • Preparing clinical reports and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Contributing to health promotion, early intervention, and community wellbeing initiatives

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving quality of life and empowering people to achieve their goals.

You'll bring a client-focused approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders
  • A genuine passion for rural and remote healthcare

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in community health, disability, NDIS, aged care, or paediatrics
  • Experience managing diverse caseloads
  • Knowledge of assistive technology, home modifications, and functional assessments
  • Previous experience working within multidisciplinary teams
