At NWRH, we’re working alongside individuals, families, and communities to strengthen mental health and social and emotional wellbeing across North and West Queensland. We are currently seeking a passionate and adaptable individual to join our team on a full-time basis as a Wellbeing Clinician.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver strengths-based, culturally safe wellbeing support to individuals and communities
  • Work closely with children, young people, families, Elders, and culturally diverse groups
  • Travel regularly to remote communities (communities via road and occasional small aircraft) to provide outreach services
  • Build meaningful, respectful, and trusted relationships
  • Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Support individuals to enhance their wellbeing, access education, and connect with services

 

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

    • Adaptable and flexible — responsive to changing environments and community needs
    • Community-focused — genuinely motivated to partner with people and support their goals
    • Independent yet collaborative — confident working autonomously while staying connected to a team
    • Culturally respectful — able to engage thoughtfully with diverse communities
    • Purpose-driven — bringing lived experience, community knowledge, or qualifications in health or community services

What You’ll Need

  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel
  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Criminal History Check
  • Qualifications in Mental Health or Community Services are desirable, but not essential
