NWRH is on the lookout for a dedicated Central Intake Support Officer to join our committed and passionate team in Townsville, QLD, on a full-time basis.

 

About the Role

As the Central Intake Support Officer, you’ll be the vital first point of contact for clients accessing our services. This is a fast-paced, client-focused administrative role that supports intake, triage, and appointment scheduling for clients across multiple Allied Health disciplines.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming and guiding new and existing clients through the referral process
  • Building strong, respectful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Gathering and verifying client details to ensure smooth and timely service delivery
  • Maintaining accurate client records and updating databases in line with policy
  • Coordinating appointments by managing multiple calendars and ensuring information is current and complete

 

You’ll thrive in this role if you're organised, empathetic, and confident working across a variety of platforms and priorities.

 

About You

You're an administrative superstar with experience in Allied Health, Medical, or clinical administration, and you pride yourself on attention to detail and client service.

 

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • Excellent literacy skills with the ability to interpret complex medical information
  • Fast and accurate data entry abilities
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Confidence using (or learning) client management software
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, especially with multiple calendars

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, loves connecting with people over the phone, and can manage the full administrative process, from initial contact to appointment booking.
