 headspace Proserpine is operated by North and West Remote Health (NWRH), a trusted provider of primary health services across northern and remote Queensland. We’re seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to lead evidence-based practice, mentor colleagues, and provide meaningful interventions for young people.

Why this role matters

  • Lead with purpose – support the team in clinical decision-making and mentor graduate practitioners.
  • Provide care that counts – deliver psychological assessments and interventions for young people experiencing low–moderate mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate for better outcomes – work closely with the Clinical Lead and Centre Manager to determine the right pathways for every young person.
  • Be part of something bigger – contribute to early intervention service development and regular case reviews to strengthen youth mental health in the region.

 What you’ll bring

You’re passionate about youth mental health and confident in guiding others.

Suitable professions with current applicable registrations include:

  • Registered Psychologist; or
  • Social Worker
  • Mental Health Nurse
  • Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Your Experience can include:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified clinician
  • Knowledge of the National Standards for Mental Health Services
  • Experience supporting new graduates in their development toward independent practice
  • Knowledge of Family Systems Theory and systemically informed care
  • A current, unrestricted C class driver’s licence
  • The right to live and work in Australia
