NWRH now has several fantastic opportunities for Graduate Allied Health Professionals to join their dedicated teams based in either Townsville, Mount Isa or Longreach, Queensland. 

Opportunities currently exist for:

  • Occupational Therapists
  • Exercise Physiologists
  • Podiatrists
  • Speech Pathologists

 

To be considered, you must hold, or be in the final year of, a tertiary qualification in your relevant discipline. You must also be eligible for registration with AHPRA or your relevant Professional Association now, or upon graduation.

There are opportunities available for you to come onboard prior to your completion and registration.

NWRH employ Senior Clinicians in each of the Allied Health disciplines, which will support you by:

  • Providing feedback about your clinical documentation and work-day structure
  • Providing regular one on one mentoring sessions
  • Organising peer group mentoring and discipline-specific in-services
  • Facilitating an online discipline-specific Microsoft Teams group, that allows you to ask your peers about clinical queries you might be experiencing within your case load
  • Providing work shadowing opportunities
  • Allowing you to drive your own success, work autonomously and become a successful and experienced Allied Health Professional

Successful candidates will receive an attractive remuneration package of $76,197, PLUS- Super and a host of further benefits including:

  • Salary sacrificing options up to $15,900; 
  • Leave loading of 17.5%; 
  • $180 per fortnight Rental Subsidy (Mount Isa and Longreach only); 
  • Annual Flight Home upon 12 months of service (If based in Mount Isa or Longreach);
  • Professional Development up to $10,000 per annum.
  • 10 Days Paid Professional Development Leave
  • 5 weeks annual leave; and 
  • Relocation assistance.

 

Furthermore, you will have access to clinical supervision and ongoing professional development opportunities, with high-level support from your Team Leader and colleagues.

Please Note:

  • You must have the right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this role;
  • You will be required to travel by road and/or in small planes to communities distant from your catchment area on a regular basis, so must be comfortable with this aspect of the role.
